This dynamic position, located within the Housing Services department, provides the opportunity to establish positive relationships with clients in Permanent Supportive Housing identify and interrupt worsening challenges that could lead to crises, and effectively intervene in crisis situations.
This is a site-based, evening & weekend position that provides rapid crisis response services when other support services may be less available.
Candidates must have:
•Prior crisis experience
•Knowledge of mental illness, substance use, and psychiatric symptoms
•Understanding of how to therapeutically engage a person in crisis
•Prior experience with de-escalation techniques
•Skills to identify and respond to critical situations
•Understanding of available community resources
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (or related field) preferred, Ohio Social Work or Professional Counselor license (LSW, LPC) preferred.
